🦌Easy nature and wildlife

The parks have short, flat paths, visitor centres and wildlife areas where you can see chamois, wolves and otters up close: an easy way to introduce little ones to the mountains.

🕳️Caves

Two caves to visit with a guide, an adventure children remember: bring a sweatshirt, it is cool inside even in summer.

🏖️Lakes and sea

In summer you can swim in Lake Scanno and at the coast’s beaches: sand and shallow water in the north, and on the Trabocchi Coast a flat cycle path to ride with children.

🛷In winter on the snow

Easy slopes and ski schools for beginners, sledging areas, ice rinks and first snowshoe walks on wide, safe plains.

🏰Castles, villages and museums

Castles clinging to the rocks, villages to explore and museums that tell stories of warriors, shepherds and cooks: short visits that mix well with walks.

The heritage train of the ‘Transiberiana d’Italia’ crosses the snowy plateaus to Campo di Giove and Roccaraso: for children the journey itself is a treat. Many destinations can also be reached by train and bus.

🍝Around the table together

Children love Abruzzo food: arrosticini to eat with your hands, cheese-and-egg balls, crêpes, and many traditional sweets to make at home. Our recipes give difficulty, times and ingredients.
